D+V Management was founded by Natalie Doran and Laurence Vuillemin in 2003. The agency’s first client was Ellen Von Unwerth. With her provocative, glamorous images, Ellen’s peerless status within the fashion industry has been cemented in the last 10 years. She was recently voted in the Top 100 Time Magazine fashion icons. Ellen’s work has served as a standard for the rest of D+V’s roster. Natalie and Laurence have recruited photographic talent across various specialisms and styles. With a reputation for finding photographers who create work with a strong signature, names including Miles Aldridge, Mel Bles and Jacob Sutton are part of a selective, hand picked roster.

With strong connections across editorial and commercial worlds, clients often form lasting relationships with the agency. D+V photographers continually work with magazines including international editors of Vogue, Numéro, The Gentlewoman, i-D and AnOther while commercial clients range from Yves Saint Laurent and Louis Vuitton to Givenchy and Christian Dior. One of the first agencies to pioneer work with moving image as well as stills, D+V’s photographic artists have created films for brands including Burberry, Topshop, Missoni, Guess, Fendi and Y-3.

D+V encourage work with their photographers to pursue artistic projects, and they regularly stage exhibtions. Recent highlights include new work from Ellen Von Unwerth at The Michael Hoppen Gallery in London and the Staley-Wise Gallery in New York, an exhibition by the young talent Niall O’Brien at Upon Paper Gallery in Berlin and a show by Miles Aldridge at the city’s Camera Work space. D+V photographers have also collaborated on books published by the World’s most prestigious publishers including Taschen and Steidl.

The agency expanded in 2007 – when renowned agent, Emma Bryant joined as business partner with Natalie and Laurence, to oversee the development of a Hair, Make Up, Styling and Set Design arm of the business. Instrumental in the careers of Alex Box, James Pecis and Sam Bryant, Emma brought in established and new talents from all sectors of the industry including Benjamin Puckey, Neil Moodie, Andy Hillman and Leith Clark.

Production services for film and photography are also available. With a dedicated production team who work across stills and film projects, in-house, from start to finish.

As a next step, the agency opened a New York office in 2009. Working in tandem with London, the American side of the business demonstrates the international reach of D+V – an ability to champion creative in new markets. Still working with only the best fashion professionals, the agency continues to flourish as it moves towards it’s next decade.
